BPC-157 — educational guide
Status: Not FDA-approved for human therapeutic use. Research / investigational interest peptide. DrPep does not sell BPC-157 or provide dosing.
BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide discussed widely in recovery and tendon literature. Most evidence is early lab and animal work; human clinical proof is limited/weak.
Tendon cell studies in the literature
Taiwan / Chang Gung group papers in rat Achilles-tendon fibroblasts (dish studies) report that BPC-157 can help cells migrate and survive stress (via FAK–paxillin signaling) and can raise growth-hormone receptor levels on those cells. That preclinical dish finding is why some literature and online discussion mention BPC-157 alongside growth-hormone–pathway peptides for tendons — it is anevidence-context note, not a stack recipe, not dosing advice, and not proof of healing in people.
